Terms and conditions.

These terms govern your use of DonateCrate, a monthly donation pickup subscription service operated by DonateCrate LLC. By creating an account you agree to these terms. Last updated March 30, 2026.

The service

DonateCrate provides scheduled monthly curbside pickup of household donation items and coordinates delivery to local nonprofit partner organizations. Service is available in active service zones only. You can check availability at donatecrate.com.

Subscription and billing

  • The service is billed monthly. Current pricing is displayed at signup and in your account settings.
  • Billing occurs on a recurring basis. You authorize DonateCrate to charge your payment method on file each billing cycle.
  • You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain access until then.
  • We do not offer refunds for partial months.
  • Prices may change with at least 30 days notice by email.

Pickups

  • Pickups occur on the scheduled date for your service zone. Dates are visible in your account dashboard.
  • You are responsible for having your donation bag set out at your front door by 9:00 AM on pickup day.
  • You may skip a pickup cycle from your account up until midnight before your scheduled pickup date. Skipped months are not credited or refunded.
  • If a driver cannot access your bag on pickup day, you will receive a notification. Missed pickups due to inaccessibility are not refunded.
  • DonateCrate reserves the right to reschedule pickups due to weather, route changes, or other operational circumstances.

Acceptable items

DonateCrate accepts clothing, shoes (paired), linens, towels, and general household soft goods. We do not accept:

  • Hazardous materials, chemicals, or electronics.
  • Furniture, large appliances, or items that do not fit in a standard donation bag.
  • Items that are wet, moldy, infested, or otherwise unsanitary.
  • Items of extraordinary monetary value without prior arrangement.

We reserve the right to decline items that do not meet partner organization acceptance standards.

Donated items

Once collected, items are donated to our partner nonprofit organizations. DonateCrate does not provide tax receipts or valuation of donated items — please contact the receiving nonprofit directly if a receipt is required. We make no guarantee that specific items will be accepted by any particular partner organization.

Your account

  • You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
  • Your account is personal and non-transferable.
  • You must provide accurate address and contact information. Pickups scheduled to incorrect addresses are not refunded.
  • One active subscription per household address.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, abuse the service, or engage in fraudulent activity. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support.

Limitation of liability

DonateCrate is provided "as is." We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 30 days preceding the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the state in which DonateCrate LLC is registered. Disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property or confidentiality violations.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be communicated by email at least 14 days in advance. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
